Providing educational support for students and parents

Business problem: NSW Government's Department of Education & Training (DET) wants to establish an online portal for school-aged students and their parents but they did not have a website that caters for different school-aged students and their parents. I was invited to provide creative designs and to present this for the business pitch for the design agency.

Solution: Apart from working on the visual designs and illustrations, I also completed a site audit and a proposed sitemap was created to identify key areas for improvements. As part of the agency brief, the client has also requested to see 2 distinct visual concept designs. To meet this requirement, we decided to have one design to follow a conservative approach and the other design be more playful - this is the design that I worked on. In the end, our agency won the pitch, but the client went ahead with the conservative design.
